What about shoes/foot wear?
Dress shoes and high heels, while allowed our not RECOMMENDED, we realizes ome functions lend themselves to these shoes butt heya re tough on the yachts finishes, slippery in some conditions and unsafe in others. Barefeet are also discourged due to marine items such as "cleats/railing fittings/brackets" etc.
what about rain.....cold weather and wind?

What should we wear?
Casual "Surfer" or Yacht attire is perfect.....depending on the time of year. Its always wise to bring a light jacket or if its a night or winter months cruise. Other attire has been worn aboard but its very hard to have fun on the water in a suit and tie or more "formal" wear! Please also see our "Shoe's" section below.
Where do we board DESPERADO?
We only board and de-board at Dolphin Landings Charter Boat Center. We do not board/drop off anywhere else unless we are involved in a special event (ie: St. Pete Grand Prix)We do not board from private residences ever. Dolphin Landings has free parking and a very large dock to accommodate our use
What about food and beverage?
This is best answered by our agent Dolphin Landings Charter Boats. They can help you with catering and beverage service (beer/wine/liquor are allowed).
When is the "Best Time" to charter?
Anytime you need to Lol.......We have found leaving an hour before sunset and docking 2 hours later to be a great time. (we have a 3 hour min). Holidays, birthdays, and "after a performance" also work well.
Can we swim or fish from DESPERADO?
No and No........Desperado is set up as a VIP charter yacht and our agent can set you up with a boat to fit those needs.
Is the DESPERADO" Air Conditioned?
Desperado is equipped with 48,000 Btu's of A/C in 3 units in the main Salon and 48,000 Btu's of A/C down below. With large groups and due to amperage loads we can not run all units togather wheather at dock or underway. With small groups and not "in mid-day summer sun"we can keep the boat "A/C'd" depending on doors and hatches being opened. There is however a couple "cool corners" and a breeze and shade is always available
DESPERADO is a limited use VIP charter yacht and is used mostly for our own pleasure. We are often asked is there other USCG Certified "Yachts" in the area? The answer is yes and no.....Many "so-called" yachts are just large commercial dinner boats that have about as much connection to "being a yacht" as a smart car does to a limo, but they do carry large numbers of people. There are a couple other boats in the are that were built as pleasure vessels then "adapted" to certification. We encourage you to look at all vessels both in the dinner trade and the others in our area, what fits you best is the "right" one.
